• Yes. With the appropriate configuration of the module, it is possible to synchronize the stocks in both directions.
• Can the module be configured to update stock in more than one store?
• Yes. You can configure as many stores as you need to update.
• Can the module be used between stores with different versions of PrestaShop?
• Yes. The module is compatible with all PrestaShop versions between 1.5 and 1.7.
• When are stocks updated?
• In case of any stock update standard event, such as: manual stock update on the product editing screen, advanced stock movements, order confirmation, mass update using PrestaShop CSV Import, etc.
• Do you need to configure any scheduled tasks to update the stock?
• No. Stock updates are carried out in real time as changes occur in the store's product stock.
• How do I configure the module so that when I modify the stock of a product in store A, the stock in store B is also updated?
• First, in the store B module configuration screen, generate a Store Access Key. Also define the Link Field and the stores to update (in case you have multistore active). Subsequently, in store A, go to the Synchronization Stores section and add a new store specifying the URL of store B and its Access Key defined previously.
• Can I specify which product field and combinations will be used to link to update stock?
• Yes. You can choose in the module settings one of the following fields to match: Reference, Supplier reference UPC, EAN-13 or ISBN (only from PrestaShop 1.7).
• How does the module link to update stocks?
• First, the module searches to see if there is any combination that has the same value according to the configured Link Field. If it finds it then it updates the stock of said combination. If you do not find any combination then search in a similar way among the products. If you find a product that matches, then you update the stock of that product.
• What happens to products and combinations that do not have a value defined in the Link Field configured in the module?
• The module needs the Link Field to have a value in each product and/or combination to be able to make the match and subsequently updating stocks. If this field is empty no update action will be performed.
• What happens if my products have values ​​defined for the Link Field but not their child combinations?
• In this case only the product stocks will be updated. Specific combinations cannot be updated because they do not meet the requirement of the previous point. To update specific combinations, it is recommended to generate a value for the Link Field of each combination. For example, if you have a product with reference number ABC123, reference numbers could be generated for its combinations: ABC123-1, ABC123-2... or ABC123-A, ABC123-B... or similarly ABC123-RED, ABC123- BLUE, ABC123-GREEN…
• Within a multistore, can I define in which specific stores I want to update the stock?
• Yes. You can select which stores you want to update the stock in using the Update Stock in Stores parameter in the module configuration. By default, all stores are selected.
